Moderator Lester Holt was given the task of refereeing one of the most highly anticipated and spirited presidential debates in recent memory.

Donald Trump graded Holt’s moderator performance as a “C or C+” He also criticized Holt by saying he asked him “very unfair questions,” despite the portions of the debate where Holt allowed Trump to continue speaking, even when out of turn.

NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik joins Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson to discuss Holt’s strongest and weakest moments moderating the debate.
