Two wildfires are burning in the mountains of Southern California this morning, including a blaze that has burned nearly a thousand acres north of Big Bear Lake.  The so-called Holcomb Fire near Big Bear, at last report, was 10 percent contained, but was moving away from more populated areas of that section of the San Bernardino National Forest.  The other wildfire is burning near Lake Castaic, north of Simi Valley.  More from NPR's Daniell Karson.
