Some daytime showers and overnight temperatures at or just below freezing are in the forecast for the Inland Valleys for the next couple of days. In the mountains, blowing snow, strong winds, and overnight lows in the teens are in the forecast for at least the first part of this week. With temperatures in the 80s and wind gusts expected to reach or exceed 60 mph in the inland valleys and local mountains, the National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning and a Red Flag Warning for increased wildfire danger throughout the region today (Monday). Some 150 homes that were in last fall's Canyon Fire burn area in southwest Corona are under mandatory evacuation orders because of the risk of damaging mudflows and debris from the hills above those homes. KVCR's Ken Vincent has more.
