Santa Barbara Oil Spill Fouls Beach, Endangers Wildlife

ww2.kqed.org

California Governor Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency for Santa Barbara County on Wednesday in response to a broken pipeline which could have spilled up to 105,000 gallons of crude oil into the Pacific Ocean. The oil slick has spread over a nine-mile area near Refugio State park up the coast from Santa Barbara, where it's threatening wildlife.  KVCR News aired this report from The California Report's Jordan Bell.
