Return of KVCR's Weekly IE News Review With Longtime Inland Journalist Cassie MacDuff

After a hiatus of several months, longtime Inland Empire journalist Cassie MacDuff returns to 91.9 KVCR with a weekly review of some of the top news stories in the Inland Empire.  After catching us up on where she's been and what she's doing now, Cassie and KVCR's Ken Vincent discuss:

- KVCR TV yields a financial windfall for the San Bernardino Community College District, thanks to the Federal Communication Commission's nationwide reorganization of television broadcast channels;

- The City of San Bernardino writes a letter to President Trump asking for federal help with the city's post-bankruptcy crime wave, and;

- The South Coast Air Quality Management District proposes tougher standards for truck fuel exhaust emissions.

Ken Vincent has retired. We appreciate the way he shared his expertise with many of our young interns and reporters over the nearly eight years he spent as KVCR's lead journalist and Morning Edition host. We wish him a happy and relaxing retirement as he spends more time in his garden and, as he mentioned, more time on the golf course. Thanks Ken!
