In November, Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar flipped the seat of the Inland Empire's 31st Congressional District from Republican to Democrat with his election to the U.S. House. While Aguilar was involved in local government for years, the 35-year-old father of two is a freshman in the minority party, and still adapting to his new job. Aguilar stopped by the KVCR studios when he was in the district, and spoke to KVCR's Matt Guilhem about his transition to Washington and what he plans to do in D.C. for the IE.
