91.9 KVCR Will Be On Low Power- And Off The Air - For A Portion Of Today

[UPDATE:  KVCR engineers say our work on the FM transmitter has been completed, and 91.9 KVCR is back on the air at normal power.  KVCR thanks listeners for their patience.]

91.9 KVCR FM will be doing some required work on our on-air transmitter today.  It will require us to be at low power for a portion of the day, and for a period of time today we’ll be off the air for the safety of workers on the transmitter tower.     The transmitter work will not affect KVCR’s live stream; you will be able to continue to listen to KVCR’s programming online at kvcrnews.org.

We appreciate the way he shared his expertise with many of our young interns and reporters over the nearly eight years he spent as KVCR's lead journalist and Morning Edition host. We wish him a happy and relaxing retirement as he spends more time in his garden and, as he mentioned, more time on the golf course. Thanks Ken!
