5/3/17 The Riverside Art Museum, Joey Travolta with Inclusion Films AND Gene & Ethan Bortnick

Joey Travolta began his adult life as a special education teacher, but filmmaking is his passion. He put the two together and created Inclusion Films, a company that partners with entities in a growing number of communities and trains people with developmental disabilities in the art of filmmaking. Lillian Vasquez speaks with Joey about the latest partnership in KVCR's city of license - San Bernardino.  Classes start this month. She also speaks with a PBS star she first interviewed when he was just nine years old. Ethan Bortnick is 16 now.  Lillian talks with Ethan and his father Gene about two new projects, one in which IE residents are encouraged to participate - A TV Talent Show!  She also speaks with Drew Oberjuergie, Executive Director of The Riverside Art Museum about many things including their upcoming gala. The episode starts with Joey Travolta.

Rick Dulock is originally from Gainesville, Florida. He fell in love with NPR as a student board operator for 91.9 KVCR in 1996 and since then has worn many hats including Development Director and Pledge Producer. Rick has served as Program Manager since 2011 and is currently working on bolstering KVCR's Weekend Showcase with limited series and unique public radio offerings.
